Over Kristof Vande Walle

In 2007 Kristof got his master’s degree in Communication Science at the VUB. After many years behind a desk, his hands started itching and he wanted to try something different.

He applied for a theater technician course at The Singel in Antwerp and his life made a huge turn. This course had an emphasis on light-design, sound engineering, AV-installations and set-building. He was introduced to the cultural and artistic sector and a new love entered his life.

After a few years of freelancing in the performing arts, he got picked up by M Leuven, a museum for contemporary and ancient art, to be the assistant-production manager. In a few years’ time he got acquainted with the visual arts in all its forms. He helped installing solo-shows by Sol Lewitt, Ugo Rondinone, Eija-Liisa Attila, Peter Buggenhout, Patrick Van Caeckenbergh and many more. He learned to handle the most delicate of artworks and acquired an expertise in installing audiovisual installations. A few years ago he followed in the footsteps of his mentor, Tom Van Camp, and become the Production Manager of M.

In 2015 he moved to Antwerp and started freelancing as an art-handler next to his job in M Leuven. For the past 7 years he worked for eminent galleries in Belgium and his expertise in the technical aspects of the visual arts & art handling got more and more developed.

After ten years in M Leuven, he felt the need to start something on his own...
